Fair Trade and Corporate Ethics
Fair Trade insures that workers, farmers, producers are given a fare and living wage for their labors. Buying from Fair Trade certified organizations assures that our consumer dollar isn't supporting sweatshops and corporate greed, rather promoting economic well-being of the people who provide our goods.

Can a cup of coffee change lives?
Yes!

Bridges Fair Trade Co. has been formed around the faces, the stories, and the hope present in what is referred to as "fair trade." A number of us who have helped to get this business started travelled to El Salvador in 2004 to see and hear how fair trade has affected families' lives for the better, and now we're attempting to do something about what we've learned.

Fair trade is the setting up of direct relationships with coffee farmers around the world to pay them fair, sustainable wages for their work. Through conventional trade channels, coffee farmers and their families often receive a price for their coffee that fails to cover cost of production, much less shelter, clothing, and food. Fair trade pays two to three times that of conventional trade, and provides families with basic necessities, as well as money to invest in their communities to build schools, health clinics, and other vital communal basics.

Visit us online to learn more about fair trade and what every purchase supports. We would love to set up a relationship with you and your office, church, organization... wherever you enjoy a cup of good coffee. We have an online store for personal orders, or a wholesale program for on-going relationships.
