These are some of the groups that I listen to when I create - I find their music like paintings - rich in color, texture, emotion... - Tim

Mozart
Let's start where I started. Thanks to my parents who chose Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro" as the music to put me to sleep when I was an child. Mozart effect or not, this music has helped shape my creative life. If Mozart were composing today, I believe that he'd be crossing all music genre and creating new genre's all his own.

Esbjörn Svensson Trio
Sadly, we lost Esbjörn to a scuba diving accident recently - but his music lives on. A phenominal Swedish jazz pianist.

The Bad Plus
Wacky jazz - listen to their cover of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and you'll get the idea of how they have their way with pop music. Fun!

Happy Apple
Sharing a drummer in common with The Bad Plus, this Minneapolis group has been a great inspiration in my abstract paintings. More wacky fun!

Medeski, Martin and Wood
Check them out - amazing.

Julian Bream
Classical guitar.

Christopher Parkening
Classical guitar.

Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks
Still kickin' since the 1970s. The soundtrack for Octane Creative's wackiness for over three decades!

Barrage
Celtic fusion. From rockus to sensitive.

Steely Dan
Since 1967 Donald Fagen and Walter Becker have been crankin' out those distinctive Steely Dan tunes - another soundtrack to my life. Music with a definite sense of place.

Yello
German Techno-WACK - Oh Yeah!

preceeding Yello - there was
Kraftwerk
