Global Warming and Iraq The Iraq war and the threat of climate change are the twin global threats that millions of Americans said they wanted immediate action on after the U.S. mid-term election. But as Iraq continues to devolve into violence and chaos, and as we hit another year of record warm temperatures, our legislators are failing to respond to the will of the people. We want a safe and healthy planet for years and years to come. Please visit nowarnowarming.org

FEAR FACTOR
The Bush administration has gone out of their way to create and elevate the fear level in Americans. At one point even recommending plastic sheeting and duct tape to create an air-tight room in the event of a chemical and biological warfare attack. While we appreciate the plug for duct tape (sales went through the roof), we don't appreciate our government crying wolf. No one points to the dangers of this and the reality of what's happening to America than World War II vet and historian, Howard Zinn. To get acquainted with Howard and get your eyes opened to the real history of America and the dangers of our present course click here.
Sicko
No health insurance? You're not alone. 47 million Americans don't have health insurance. And those that do, are surprised to find out how little their insurance covers - and at great expense. Michael Moore's new movie, "Sicko" is in the theatres now. No moatter what you think of Michael Moore, you can't argue with the fact that the American health care system is in dire need of revamping, and all Michael Moore is doing in this film is to point out the glaring inadequacies of the system. Sign the Voters for Peace Pledge
Spread the word!  A majority of Americans now want to 'Bring the Troops Home.' I just signed the Voters' Pledge at www.VotersForPeace.US. In order to end the occupation of Iraq and stop future wars of aggression we need to let politicians know that we will not vote for them if they vote for war. VotersForPeace.US is an effort to organize and make visible the Peace Vote as a powerful new voting bloc.  The Peace Vote is now large enough to speak with a united voice of conviction which candidates and incumbent politicians CANNOT AFFORD TO IGNORE!VotersForPeace is trying to get 2 million voters to sign its Peace Pledge in time for the 2008 elections.  The Pledge is a statement of support for peace candidates: "who publicly oppose wars of aggression."Please visit the Voters' Pledge at http://www.VotersForPeacePledge.US to sign on and help spread the word! Thank you! - Tim Nyberg
