Duct tape is an essential tool for any cyclist.
It's lightweight, compact, durable, and requires no power nor other tools to operate.

Duct tape turns any item of apparel into rainwear.

Duct tape cardboard to your frame to make splatter-resistant "fenders" during wet and muddy rides.

Prevent your pant cuff from getting stuck in your chain by duct taping your pant cuff around your ankle.

Prevent dog bites by continuing the wrapping process up to your knee (multiple layers recommended).

Packing your bike for shipping requires only a couple of rolls of duct tape and two large sheets of cardboard (obtainable for free from the appliance store dumpster).

If you are concerned with the paint job on your bike, wrap the bike in BubbleWrap® first, then complete the pack with cardboard and duct tape.
